Guest guest
Dear Maddie, I hope you're getting through the " after " care well. I read the messages and it seems those who've just had the surgery are living on resolution that all will turn out wonderful. And those who've gone through the surgery are happy they did it. Kaiser Hospital is very close to me. I wonder who your surgeon is. I'm going to be interviewing a Stanford Surgeon because an excellent surgeon I've been seeing hasn't actually done the surgery. K. Guest guest
Hi , My doctor was Felice O' at Kaiser. It doesn't really matter which surgeon you get though, because they all work as a team and are involved in your case. While Dr. O' was my main doctor, Dr. Wong, a resident, did most of my pre-op interviewing. During surgery, Dr. O' worked with Dr. Poor, each taking a different side as one is right- handed and one is left-handed! They are a highly regarded surgical team, some say the best in Northern California. This is all they do -- no wisdom teeth extraction or other oral surgery -- just orthognathic. They do between 200 and 300 surgeries a year. Of course, you need to be a Kaiser member to get an appointment. Oh, and best of all, the surgery is completely covered. I paid a $10 co-payment only.
