Hey, there.

I can only speak for myself, but I've only lost 4-5 pounds in three weeks, and I

haven't noticed a big difference in my muscle tone. Of course, I'm a short

female in

pretty good shape, not a muscle-bound athlete, by any means.

I have made sure to get as much protein during the day as I can (the dietician

recommended 55g a day) through Boost, throwing protein powder in shakes and

smoothies, and blending high-protein foods like chili (my favorite so far). I

also try to

keep moving as much as my energy level allows.

I suppose it all depends on how your body reacts.

My dietician sister really stressed to me that I needed to eat enough calories

for

ENERGY so my body wouldn't use my protein for energy...protein to build new

tissues

and maintain muscles, etc.

I was very concerned with losing weight because I only weigh around

100 to begin with. I lost maybe a pound. I freaked out about it too,

but don't you will be fine. It's so worth it!!

I did the same-protein powder in alomost everything:0)...enure plus,

carnations instant b'fast-even mixed one and threw into my

milkshakes...lots of pureed chicken veggie soup, potato -leek soup-

chili etc-and at 2 weeks post op, I have only lost 2 pounds. I

couldn't afford to lose weight, so I amde sure to get as amny

calories into me, however I could!
