Hi,

Quick question for you and anyone else answering on this board. I am

currently 3rd day post-op, no splint nor sore throat. I am having

trouble with swelling though I was wondering how long it takes for

the swelling to start to subside. Ive felt like its gotten worse

every day and am hoping that it starts goin down soon...other than

that everythign is going great. Doctor says if he approves at

tomorrow's appointment, I can get off the clear liquid diet be

unbanded in two weeks! Thanks for your help,

-if i remeber corectly- its around a week that the bulk of the

swelling goes down. keep ice on it all the time. the ice will also

help it not be so annoying. It does get worse untill about the the 3rd

day- it peaks- then it will start to go down. however, the swelling

will go up and down, as it still does for me even at 7 weeks.
