Guest guest
well i noticed this afternoon that on the left side of my face...the swelling is almost completely gone (8 days post-op...upper, lower, genio) and i have absolutely not pain at all on the left side. but the right side is a totally different story. not only is it swollen probably 3 times more than the left side...but it is still painful. the pain is mostly in my upper jaw...and around the joint...which feels tight as well. and it extends around to the back of my head. i also have slight pressure in my right ear. so i'm wondering why the left side is doing so much better than the right side. seems kinda weird to me. Guest guest
I had a similar thing happen to me. I had a ton of swelling on my right and a lot of joint pain on the right as well. The reason for mine was: Each side reacts different. I had a lot more bleeding on my right side and there wasn't necesarily a reason why because nothing went wrong with that side. I'm sure your doctor has notes from the surgery. Something like that would be in his notes, so I would ask. I also still have slight bruising still (7 weeks post op) on the right side of my face. > well i noticed this afternoon that on the left side of my face...the > swelling is almost completely gone (8 days post-op...upper, lower, > genio) and i have absolutely not pain at all on the left side. but > the right side is a totally different story. not only is it swollen > probably 3 times more than the left side...but it is still painful. > the pain is mostly in my upper jaw...and around the joint...which > feels tight as well. and it extends around to the back of my head. > i also have slight pressure in my right ear. so i'm wondering why > the left side is doing so much better than the right side. seems > kinda weird to me. > > Tom

Guest guest
I also had a rougher time with the right side of my face. I think theres a lot of us on here who've experienced the same thing. Maybe the surgeons do more work from that side? Anyone know? > > well i noticed this afternoon that on the left side of my face...the > > swelling is almost completely gone (8 days post-op...upper, lower, > > genio) and i have absolutely not pain at all on the left side. but > > the right side is a totally different story. not only is it swollen > > probably 3 times more than the left side...but it is still painful. > > the pain is mostly in my upper jaw...and around the joint...which > > feels tight as well. and it extends around to the back of my head. > > i also have slight pressure in my right ear. so i'm wondering why > > the left side is doing so much better than the right side. seems > > kinda weird to me. > > > > Tom
