Have any of you used the Rx drug Nicomide? My new derm gave it to me.

It is a combination of nicotinamide, zinc & folic acid. She says

she's had good results w/ her roacea patients. The label says its for

inflammation due to acne vulgaris or rosacea. I'd like to know if any

of you are using it.

Dawn, you should be able to find lots of discussion on Nicomide from

2-3 months ago. Ask your dermatologist if there's any studies or

other evidence documenting its effectiveness in persons who are

already on general vitamin/mineral supplementation. As I recall, we

couldn't find any.

Been taking Nicomide once daily for just over 9 weeks. It has made no

difference whatsoever. Marjorie: I think the reason we can't find any

evidence for its effectiveness is because there isn't any.
