Guest guest
Wow...sued...what was the outcome? I'd be interested since I am also a moderator for a group....boy it would be a major undertaking to moderate every e-mail with the amount of posts for this group. In my group if I have a person who is questionable I will moderate them specifically. A lot of the posting can be too much at times, I just look at the first couple of lines or the subject and just delete it. I know there are always two sides to the story so I won't choose sides....I don't like confrontation either...live and let live...I know that since my surgery I have been more irritable and vented in another group. But I am still here, no alias...LOL...not going anywhere anytime soon...my journey has just begun...hang in there, it only gets better! Carol Matar Post op Dr. Adam Naaman 405/335/135 -70 lbs gone forever! Carol Matar -------------------------- Sent from my wireless handheld Open forum Ok to the moderators. As a owner of a group maybe you should be aware since i was sued by a member for throwin someone off. If in your welcome email you dont have no slander or liable remarks tolerated will cause removal. Also if you dont want a particular thread then dont have open posts. The moderators can then read each post before it goes to group _____

Guest guest
Hi, I am from NJ.. looking into some sort of weightloss surgery. I joined several groups and found something interesting. This topic of Joan and Mandy was discussed on another board as well. K has started a group because she was banned from this one for speaking in defense of Joan and Mandy and telling the moderator she was wrong and she was leaving the group. I read the archives out of curiousity and I am saying my hello and goodbye because i don't want to be a part of a group where nobody can say thier opinion. No thank you. I will find my support in other groups where the eject button isn't pushed so easily. Good luck to you all 310 lbs and Goal weight dreams of under 200lbs > Wow...sued...what was the outcome? Guest guest
Hi everyone The out come was it was dismissed but just the fact of going through the BS took almost 6 months to clear up... Because I didnt have that slanderous or liable remarks wouldnt be tolerated and would cause removal from the group and in the welcome to the group I didnt state the rules and guidelines for the group I had to defend myself. As for moderating every email.. If this is an open forum and a group wants to continue talking on one group you really cant stop it Unless you also state that one topic can only be discussed for say 2 weeks If you want to limit the threads you have to go to a moderated email which then the moderators have to scan EVERY email and then send them on to the list. I have been a list owner 5 yrs now. I have over 300 members alot smaller but the posts are just as great since they are all fire dept related. all our calls member notices work schedules everything is posted ...... Just a suggestion to the moderators maybe if this was first time you had a situation you should consider putting both back on list restting your welcome message to include for a situation like this and go from there....
