Hey everyone I saw the specialist today and they fitted me for a

night splint ( my bite it off so they want to start there)My mouth is

so sore because of all the poking and prodding. I am not to eat gum

jujubes, open my mouth wide etc. I was surprised. I am to wear the

splint for 6 to 8 months then if that does not work off to an oral

surgeoun.

Has anyone worn a night splint. I bet they are so uncomfortable.

The cost of an 1.25 hour visit was $ 700 of which $350 was covered by

my insurance. I thought hubby was going to die lol. I have to go to

Down Town Toronto for a specialized exray. Ahhhhhhhhhh life when one

is in pain and does not have a symetrical jaw.

Here's a bit of good news for you: Some folks have found that a

splint is the only way they can be comfortable. (agreed, it's not the

best of news, which would be not needing it. But if you do need it,

it'll be more pleasant if it's immediately helpful, I'd guess.)

Can't help with the expense, alas. Wish I could.
