Guest guest
I don't know what type of surgery I would need. I have an overbite and my bottom jaw is not straight, or level with my top jaw. My jaw pops when I open it too wide and occasionally if I don't open my mouth for a long period of type it will lock up and I will get a headache, but the pain is minimal. I am more concerned about how I look because my chin is set so far back. I am not sure if I should have surgery to correct my jaw or just have a chin implant to correct the way it looks. I also want to have rhinoplasty done but I have not been ready financially to go through with that. Has anyone had a similar problem that may be able to give me advice on what my options are? Also, what is the best way to find a cosmetic surgeon? I am not sure where to look or what credentials to look for. Any advice would be much appreciated! Guest guest
I am not qualified to tell you what kind of surgery you need, but I believe fixing the problem is always better than covering it up. I would recommend you see a oral surgeon/maxiofacial surgeon. If you really only want an implant, look for a cosmetic surgeon that is certified by the American Board of Plastic Surgeons. Good luck. > > I don't know what type of surgery I would need. I have an overbite > and my bottom jaw is not straight, or level with my top jaw.
