Guest guest
I am so happy today! I woke up and the front yard is starting to fill up with yellow daffodils, purple and red tulips and the roses and rhododendrons have buds on them. The plum tree is in full bloom and the cherries are about to burst. My favorite time of year! I love the way good weather perks up the spirits. Winter is such a hard time to stay bouncy. We have three months until summer. That gives me an opportunity to set some short term goals. 6 weeks until Easter and then another 6 weeks until June 1. When I break up my goals into short term chunks, they seem so much more attainable. I usually try to make my goals activity oriented rather than pounds lost oriented. I went horse back riding for the first time in adulthood during Thanksgiving, and diving just this past month. Hopefully the snow holds and it will be skiing during Easter for the first time ever. Just think...this summer I'll be at least 135 pounds lighter than two years ago, and if things go well, I might be 120. A whole new range of activities will be available to me. I live only 3 miles from Santa Cruz beach and boardwalk, and two blocks from Henry Cowell state redwood park, so there's tons to do. Stuff I never could do or was to lazy to pursue. I'm jazzed. I hope nothing weird happens for awhile so I can hold onto this pink cloud and store up as much happiness as I can to save for a rainy day. Smiles, Vicki A.
