Guest guest
Hey Everyone, Just thought I'd share some pics for anyone interested, especially the pre-op ppl out there. I had a 8 hour upper/lower surgery to correct my underbite. http://pg.photos.yahoo.com/ph/vuchic9/album?.dir=6844 I'll be honest, the first 2 days post-op were the absolute worse. I had the worst congestion, couldn't breathe, couldn't swallow, and the most uncomfortable feeling I have ever experienced. I was actually in the hospital for 2 1/2 days, only because I had a difficult time intaking any fluids on my own. Intaking anything thru that syringe was pretty frustrating for me. Luckily, I had my parents around to baby me (yes, i'm actually 25). Today, my face is still a bit swollen, and the only thing that annoys me to death is my talking ability. My mouth still feels so tight, ppl can only half understand what i'm trying to communicate..so i guess carrying around a pen/paper is smart. Strange thing is that it actually hurts to laugh. There are still moments of frustration, but its always nice to have so many supportive friends and family around me to get thru this. I'm actually taking 3 weeks off of work (office job)..well hey, my manager said to take as much time as I needed. Hopefully, I'll be able to speak more clearly by next week. Well I hope this was helpful...Good luck to everyone, and I wish you all the best! -Jane
