Guest guest
Hi Joanne: I've also been having sinus problems since my jaw surgery. I had to have my deviated and perforated septum repaired which was a direct result of the upper jaw surgery. Have you seen an ENT yet? I would have an ENT do an endoscopic exam to see what is going on with your sinuses if you have not already. Have you noticed any changes in your voice? I perceive mine to be nasally which some have told me can be a result of moving the maxilla and changing the relation of your jaw with your sinuses. Guest guest
Ask your docs about an antihistamine -- Sudafed, Claritin, Zyrtec, etc. Some of these are prescription, and some are OTC. And if I were you, and about to go on a honeymoon ;~>) I'd want to test drive them before the important days of my life, to see whether they make you sleepy, agitated or just don't do anything for you. You might also try plain old saline spray. If you overuse nasal sprays you can get a rebound effect that's worse than you began with. All else failing, I'd see an Eye, Ear, Nose and Throat doc, tell him what's happening, and ask for help!
