Guest guest
Dear , I am writing in response to you ordeal in the ER. There is absolutely no excuse for what happened to you. As a former nurse and a MSA patient, I don't know how you stood up to the lack of care not given to you. It puts a very bad name on nursing. I am almost glad that I am not able to practice now since I have been ill. It made me cry to see how badly you were treated. Please report the lack of care in writing to the hospital and to you physician. In fact you could even send them the e-mal that you sent the shydrager group. You are so right that we all need some to advocate for us when we are unable to do so for ourselves. Please take care. Anne F. Amoroso cq10 my dr. advised trying 600, but i would like to hear/have more info first. nancy spires

Guest guest
Dear Vera, I just laugh at the thought of Fred trying to run away from home in his wheelchair, I just bet that there are many days when you wish that you coulld do the same thing. Perhaps that is what you should tell Fred the next time that he threatens to do so. Suggest that he stay and you go. I am so sorry that Fred fell again and got hurt again. This disease truly is a tragedy to all of us who suffer from it and those who have to take care of us. Try to keep that sense of humor it goes a long way on the road of life. Anne F. Guest guest
Hi Anne: What can I say, I don't think he knew where he would go, but he plan to leave. First thing he couldn't go to his mother's on the w/c the charge is for only 24 miles and she lives 60 miles. He may of went up to the stores by us, but last time he went up there , he went into the hallmark store and knocked a display over, so I'm sure they would put up a we're close sign . My guess he would of gone around the block and came back in 10 or 15 minutes. Just enough time to think about things and make me worry. Fred was doing good with using his electric w/c for the first few days that he got hurt and has the black eye, but now that his feeling alittle better, his trying to use his walker again. I can see where it won't be long till something happens again and he said he isn't using the w/c because he can't get around easy, or into his room. So I've taken my bed down and put his hospital bed into the large room, now he has no reason why he can't use his w/c. You keep yourself safe also, it's a stressful thing for the caregiver , when we see our love ones get hurt.
