Guest guest
I don't know if it's common, but it is possible to have your lips not aligned to your teeth. I had surgery for an overbite plus a pallate expansion and just now started noticing that my nose has always been a little off, but it's a little more noticable (to me) now after the surgery. I think it has also caused my lip to be a little off. I am 3 months post-op so it can still be residual swelling. Plus I am still in braces. When I smile it's not noticable so I just try to smile a lot! I know I'm acting a bit breezy about it but it is a concern for me... Guest guest
Hi Nathalie, I have been looking at the lip area a lot also since checking this whole centering thing out. the little bulb in my upper lip does not sit over my teeth midline, but when i smile, as you said, it is not noticeable at all. i do think it had gotten better though, as i also think the tissue that was pulling my nose (soft tissue) a little off has relaxed and in turn relaxed my lips a little bit. i hope this helps. katie > > Hi everyone, > > I have just started treatment with braces, and I will be going > > through lower jaw surgery for a moderate underbite and my jaw is > > also shifted to the right a little.
