Guest guest
Does it seem unusual to anyone else that i am over 3 months post surgery and still wearing bands to pull bite together all day except for eating? I think part of the issues i am having with tmj like symptoms (seeing surgeon tomorrow about this), lack of full range of opening, etc are somewhat a result of always being banded. i have had my bands off for over an hour now as i have been grazing on pumpking bread, brownies and now icecream and i feel as though i can stretch really well. i put those bands back on and i am tight, stifling yawns, etc. Muscle confusion? The initial thing i saw the day i looked in the mirror after surgery was my tilted upper jaw, no wonder i have had bands on for so long trying to bring that one side down. it seems to be going pretty well from a teeth, straighter looking smile, but has anyone else remained banded for so long? I know this has nothing to do with sharp ear pains, locking and sharp pains in muscle, i will find out more about that tomorrow.
