Guest guest
First of all, I think, at least for me, that I will have to be vigilent and aware for the rest of my life to keep the weight off. I think this is normal and advisable. It is so much easier to not gain than it is to gain and have to lose again. I think it's important to be careful we don't stretch our pouches, and we get enough exercise. Hopefully the level of anxiety around this will decrease. At almost 2 years out, I am not having nightmares that I wake up fat again. The more I realize that I am not being obsessive about keeping the weight off, the more relaxed I am about the way I feel about it. I think it just takes time. I would hope that we would all reach a point where we don't " stress " or " worry " about it, when it simply becomes a habit, a way of living. No one wants to go back to the way they were. I think what you are doing to keep the weight off is wonderful. I hope the anxiety level goes down with time and self-assurance. Hugs BarbaraJean distal from 300 to 128 (unknown) Hello Everyone!!! I am 1 year, and 12 days post op. i have lost a total of 175 lbs and my question is I can eat 4 to 6 ounces of food at one meal . Sometimes i get freaked out if I eat 6 ounce cause i am terrified of stretching my pouch and the weigh gain. I exercise at least 3x's a week at gold's Gym. Is this felin of nervousness normal? I mean thin for life people.. Sure there are the exceptions, the one's that can eat Double Whoppers with cheese five meals a day and never gain a pound, but for the most part every thin person I know snacks more than they eat real meals and they are very aware if they gain a pound or five. I think maybe we are more " normal " than we give ourselves credit for.
