Guest guest
, I often think that I should have been given a new brain and a better self-esteem at the same time that I had surgery. Since that isn't possible, I have to learn to deal with what I've got. The best thing I did for me was to go to therapy for about 3 months. I am beginning to think it is time for a checkup. It helps me so much to talk with someone about the changes in my body as well as my barriers. Therapy is never a life long commitment. My support group is also too far to drive to every month and is even harder without a car. The other thing I am doing right now is getting the junk out of the house. At least if I am going to be tempted, I'll have healthier foods here. Lori Owen - Denton, Texas CHF 4/14/01 479 lbs. SRVG 7/16/01 401 lbs.
