Guest guest
Pam, At 8 weeks you can still have some residual swelling that might affect your lips/nose area, at 2 months post-op my lip was also significantly off on one side (more open) and I can say that at 5 months, it has almost disappeared. Not completely though, it does bother me a bit. Like you, I used to have more lip and was able to chew with my lips closed completely. It is also a matter of practice though, I am now able to close my lips a bit more than at 2 months post op. It's all about getting used to your new face in every way: when you look in the mirror and when you use it to speak/eat etc. Nathalie > > Ray, > > Did you have trouble biting your jaws or inside lip after surgery? > I will be 8 weeks post op tomorrow and I am a little worried that > when the feeling comes back 100% that the biting will be a bit > excruitating.
