Pam,

At 8 weeks you can still have some residual swelling that might

affect your lips/nose area, at 2 months post-op my lip was also

significantly off on one side (more open) and I can say that at 5

months, it has almost disappeared. Not completely though, it does

bother me a bit. Like you, I used to have more lip and was able to

chew with my lips closed completely. It is also a matter of practice

though, I am now able to close my lips a bit more than at 2 months

post op. It's all about getting used to your new face in every way:

when you look in the mirror and when you use it to speak/eat etc.
