Guest guest
Sometimes it is hard to convey what one means in e-mail or message boards because you can not read tone or faicial gestures. there is nothing wrong with suggesting a person call their doctor, however what is said and how it is said are two diffrent things. To discourage a person from posting on the board is not appropriete. To encourage a person to call their doctor is the correct thing to do but adding on the bit about not posting it on the board---well thats a differnt matter. How are you to know that someone else doesn't have that same problem. all that needed to be said was " hey, thats something that sounds rather odd you need to call your DR right away " and thats it. Do with your time as you wish it is not up to me how you spend it. > > Cammie with that sort of reply then no one should ask questions of > > any sort. Guest guest
How kind of you to instruct me. I have only made my living by writing for about 30 years, and conveying the ideas and the emotions therein. But nobody has a monopoly on approaches, and perhaps I should be more silent or restrained. In any case, I do not wish to have a dispute with you. But I welcome your advice. I do understand now why your online name is " elephant, " although I don't perhaps understand the whimsical (or so it seems to me, lest I offend you again) taillight. I shall try to keep all of that in mind in the future and be a better citizen. And one who is more " correct. " (I loathe those who must feel themselves " correct, " for the record.) " Do with your time as you wish it is not up to me how you spend it. " Thank you so kindly for the benediction blessed with bile. You would not like to know how I have spent most of my time for the last three days. I hereby leave the field of battle, carried off on my shield, or whatever; there are more important things to talk about than whether we two can get along, although I regret that you apparently feel some animosity here. I will also try to be more " appropriate " (I think maybe you need a new dictionary to suggest how to spell) in the future. (An admitted Grrr, there.) Have fun, honey... Glad you understand the universe; sory my comprehension is not so complete as yours. Cammie

Guest guest
Liz, you need to give it a rest. Three years from now, if you've been as consistent and helpful a contributor as Cammie, you may be justified in copping an attitude. But you're simply coming across as someone who doesn't know what she's talking about, complaining about a problem that doesn't exist, allegedly committed by someone who's actions for the past several years on this board have been beyond reproach. I thought Cammie's original reply was spot-on, and I would've made the exact same reply if she hadn't beaten me to it. The only person you're hurting in this thread is yourself, as I and others who like and respect Cammie will be unlikely to respond to real questions from you in the future. --Neil > > > Cammie with that sort of reply then no one should ask questions > of > > > any sort. Guest guest
Not to drag on a pointless " argument " , but I think someone needs to stand up for Liz, since she is the one being personally attacked on this board. I mean, you guys are making it sound like she commited an atrocity, when in fact, she was making a relatively benign comment. I think all it was (is) boils down to is a minor misunderstanding, that so often times goes hand-in-hand with e- communication. I don't think she was in any way personally attacking Cammie, just saying that the initial comment that spawned this all, could have been taken as a blunt way of saying, " Don't post. " I just don't think it's fair to judge her personal integrity or character. Making such raw personal shots at someone over something so minor seems unfair and extremely juvenile. Respectfully, Jen B. > > > > Cammie with that sort of reply then no one should ask > questions > > of > > > > any sort. Guest guest
I have to chime in on this one!!! Cammie, I may not always agree with what you say (though generally your advise is pretty sound!) but I will defend to my death your right to say it!! This is a free country and a free speech forum. If for some reason (unless it is dangerous and stupid) you don't agree with something I do not believe you should criticize or attack the author of the opposing opinion. this is my humble opinion take it or leave it.
