although I am not a professional singer, I do sing. And I did explain

about my situation. Like I said, I'll keep you posted on what the ENT

says about if there is damage from the intubation to my vocal cords.

, I understand your struggle with your decision to go ahead with

this surgery, but like with any surgery that is not " life-

threatening " , you're just going to have to do some soul searching and

see what your gut tells you to do. Not one million cases of singers

that did orthognathic surgery can change this, because what happens

with your surgery could be different than what happens with those

millions of other people. You are going to have to outweigh the risks

(all of them) to the benefits for your particular case.
