From my experience, I didn't start feeling comfortable about my " chipmunk " look until after 3 weeks post op, b/c that's when my swelling drastically decreased. I still have about 30% swelling, which I notice but at least it's going down. Good luck w/ your recovery. I'm sure you'll be fine. MAT > I just had upper jaw surgery (8 days ago) > im still very swollen although i can se that the swelling is slowly > going down. i still feel like a troll or a chipmunk.
