Guest guest
Jo, sleeping was very hard for me for about 1.5 weeks. i had to move to a reclining chair after about 3 days getting poor sleep in a bed. i was restless and tired of the same position, as well as being uncomfortable. but when it does get better, it gets better by amazing amounts. i remember going form having terrible nights sleep to being able to sleep on my side. i was amazed! Good luck. happy healing. > Hi all, > > Going to be quick sine this laptop is almost out of juice...but I'm > about through week one and hardest things is/was my damn sinuses, > and now imsomnia. > > I am hanging in there and just wish I could get to sleep tonight. Guest guest
Wow...so I guess the insomnia thing isn't so uncommon. I am also a week post-op and haven't gotten an ounce of sleep since I was in the hospital...and that's because I had the drugs and stuff. You would think that after not sleeping for days...that you'd be tired or something...really weird! Guest guest
Jo, I don't know how you feel about taking something but Xanax made me sleep like a baby, every night. I was only given 20 pills and I still have some left over so I only needed them for a week and a half or so. I discovered (by not taking the Xanax) that the Tylenol/Codeine was keeping me wired, so the Xanax counteracted that. Glad to hear everything is going well though. Hope to hear more from you soon. > Hi all, > > Going to be quick sine this laptop is almost out of juice...but I'm > about through week one and hardest things is/was my damn sinuses, > and now imsomnia. > > I am hanging in there and just wish I could get to sleep tonight. Guest guest
JO, These are probly different steroids. I've done prednisone for asthma/bronchitis, with totally different side effects. The morphine was what gave me hallucinations (but I knew that they were -- my hubby got them from demerol, as did my pop). And yes, codeine does odd things to some folks, too. Some folks also get nice and sleepy with Benedryl, which also helps with the nose. Worth asking your doc about. Many folks do better with tylenol (or/and kiddie tylenol/sudafed/etc than with the heavier painkillers. Worth inquiring about. Guest guest
Hay thanks... well was doing the kiddie grape (which is my all time least fav flavor, but next to smushed asthma pills-blucky!-who cares But I solved my puzzel last nt...it was the t3. I took NONE in the late day and only half a small anit-anxiety I was given and sweet blessed dreams--I think--don't recall any being so intense, just 9 hours of beautiful sleeeeeeeeeep! today I have much more energy and feel more peaceful for sure! more hungry too...making cheese soup w/brocc and spinach yummmmmmy! ( got to get my cheese, love cheese) Ps--as to the benedryl...can't taqke it, very bad on the asthma- never could take it and not trying to shake that up now, been lucky no need for my nebulizer or even much on my inhailer thus far thanks cammie, JO > > > > Hi all, > > > > > > > > Going to be quick sine this laptop is almost out of juice...but > > I'm > > > > about through week one and hardest things is/was my damn > > sinuses, > > > > and now imsomnia. > > > > > > > > I am hanging in there and just wish I could get to sleep > > tonight. > > > So > > > > sweet dreams to all of my Aug buddies and talk with you > > tomorrow! > > > > JO

Guest guest
Sounds like you're working it out, Jo. And the less codeine you need, the better off you are, too... (It tends to clog the plumbing.) Cammie > > JO,
