Guest guest
well today was supposed to be the day for surgery but i caught a cold and had to postpone it for two weeks. looks like i get to stew a little longer. to quote tom petty " the waaaiting is the hardest part " . I also just got the bill(15k) for surgery. anyone have any ideas how to ask the hospital for a refund of fees since the surgery was needed to correct errors from the first surgery? who would i talk to? is there arbitration or something like it? Cammie, hope you're warm and dry! we'll be sending our prayers your way and hope your house is ok. looks like you won't be posting for a while without power. god speed/eric

Guest guest
Thanks! While hardly dry (there's about 2-3 inches on the kitchen floor; a big oak limb decided to protest Ivan by crashing through the roof back there) but the warm part is no problem. Hot, sticky and humid are ! We have no complaints, though. It could have been soooo much worse. Thanks for the good thoughts. Fortunately, the place where I work has giant generators, and even if we lose power here, it generally comes back on almost immediately. Home is a different story, although I'm hoping for it to be back on there, too, by this evening. Maybe foolish hope; after Freddy it took three weeks. But I'm hoping we've all (and especially the utility technicians) learned something since then.
