Guest guest
Have any of you used the Rx drug Nicomide? My new derm gave it to me. It is a combination of nicotinamide, zinc & folic acid. She says she's had good results w/ her roacea patients. The label says its for inflammation due to acne vulgaris or rosacea. I'd like to know if any of you are using it. Dawn oldstuff@... Guest guest
Dawn, you should be able to find lots of discussion on Nicomide from 2-3 months ago. Ask your dermatologist if there's any studies or other evidence documenting its effectiveness in persons who are already on general vitamin/mineral supplementation. As I recall, we couldn't find any. Guest guest
Been taking Nicomide once daily for just over 9 weeks. It has made no difference whatsoever. Marjorie: I think the reason we can't find any evidence for its effectiveness is because there isn't any.
