Guest guest
Today is the first day of Spring! The season of rebirth. Let's all put flowers in our hair, kick off our shoes, hold hands and dance in the grass!! I went out this morning and bought myself a white straw hat to go with my new white pedal pushers. I have every intention of going down to the beach this weekend, no matter how cold it is, with my hubby, kids and Bassetts to parade down the Boardwalk. Just because I CAN. So, not only is it the first day of Spring, it is exactly one month from Easter (30 days). Isn't this a great time to set a short term goal? Think how great you'll feel during the holiday after eating well and living well for a month. A LOT can change in a month, heck, a lot can change in 2 weeks! And it will be fun getting there. Every day the weather will get a little warmer, the sun will shine a little longer, and we will be a little bit stronger, happier and sassier. Down to 232.5 now. I had a scare because I ate some pound cake yesterday without checking the calorie count first. My EXCUSE is, I was deathly sick, nothing was staying in my stomach and I thought the pound cake was bland and would settle. Well, it settled alright...probably right on my butt! Do you know how many calories that stuff has? I had four slices over the course of the day and my calorie counter logged it in at 1789 calories!! S___!! NOTHING tastes that good. I would have been just as happy with soda crackers had I had them on hand. Oh well. Live and learn. So, of course, I just had to work extra hard at the gym today, especially because I also didn't work out yesterday except for a feeble stretch or two. I'm up to 5 knee lifts, but I'm having trouble holding my body up and keep sliding down the machine. It reminds me of the skunk that Pepe Le Pew is always trying to squeeze and how she just slithers down through his arms. I told my husband I don't enjoy going on dates to restaurants and bars much any more. So tonight we are going on a family date. He has rented a private hot tub...beautiful, all enclosed, like being in a tropical jungle, and is following it with a dinner at Fresh Choice. And it only took eleven years to train him!!! Wish I had my tummy sling for tonight! Vicki A.
