Guest guest
I'm getting my lower jaw moved back. Originally it was supposed to be in December. But the OR wasn't available until Jan. 5th. I'm excited because it's finally happened. I started the process 10th grade and now I'm a sophmore in college. I have a few questions. How many of you were wired shut? My surgeon told me I had the option of wired shut and the other one was bolted. He recommended wired, and since he knows better than I, I agreed. I'm going to be wired 6-8 weeks depending on how good I heal. How is it like to be wired shut? I'm a really active person that likes to talk. :-) I'll probably need a notebook to communicate, right? My mother and I are planning to stock up on protein shakes and such and we plan on blending vegetables and things. What other things should I do? Any comments would be really helpful. Thanks!
