Guest guest
My experience with curves was ot all so geat, either. It DID get me moving and loosedned up my shoulders...rotator cuff surgry on the R one 11/00, left one 11/01, and then a bad fall forward, arms outstretched 12/01, anad climbing the 15 steps in my house backwards OUCH! with my leg in an immobilizer...they will NEVER be strong again! Curves seemed unhealthy and dangerous to me...staff think they are trained, but cannot answer questions, do not keep an eye on members for mistakes that can cause injury...such as twisting to the side to talk when using the upright rowing machne, the one- size-fits-all mentality, no way to lighten, make heavier. Just old to 'do it faster then.' WEll, I quit and went back to the Bally's gym where I had been 10 years ago, and started Nautilus again...love it, have results. increase the weight as I feel the need, and am able to lay off he shoulders! I think Curves is a good place to loosen up for a few months, and then move on. The Curves people hve been trained by Curves...they are not athletic trainers, PTs, exercise physiologists, or anythng of the sort. If they are not reading magazines, talking on the phone, they are visiting with the clients. Many people feel as I do. Corrine
