Guest guest
Hi Joan! Thank you for the reply! So many great people here! You're so right about the water thing...it DOES feel kind of like a blockage of sorts. And for me it is more the cold liquids than the hot/warm ones. Unfortunately, I've always hated warm liquids. ;D Time to stop being so stubborn I guess and just do that tea and hot cocoa and broth, etc. Will give it a go--anything's better than having another IV just to get fluids! Funny thing you mentioned about the body thinking it's in " starvation mode " ...my energy is better today. I'd eaten a bit more yesterday, really tried to get MORE protein in...and lo and behold...the silly scale went down again today after several days of being stuck! Maybe giving my body a bit more prot/cal, etc helped the scale move? I was taking meds for depression too, it really surprised me when the blues could break past the meds with such force. Reminded me of when I had to take hormones. Hmmm...along those lines, could hormones have something to do with it? A Dr. once told me that fat stores estrogen...what happens when that fat is gone? Does the estrogen go away too? It really makes me wonder, because this depression has really felt like the wild mood swings around period time. Thanks again for the info! And many congratulations on your new numbers!!! I vaguely remember the 230s (ah but I was much shorter back then LOL)---the 230's, what a great place to be! It does the heart good to see people doing so well! Paige lap RNY 12/11/03 399/370/200-175 Colorado (western) Dr. Dickinson
