Surgery 11/18/03... I'm Gaining Weight

Hello Everyone,

I haven't posted in a while, my computer has been out of commission,

which means I have been alone with lots of unanswered questions. I

hope that someone in the group can help me with my problem, make

suggestions or reassure!!

I had my surgery on 11/18/03. My Pre-Surg. weight was 237 lbs. I

have been doing cardio 4 days per week and have finally worked my way

up to 35 mins. on the treadmill (avg. 1.85 miles). I finally made it

under 200 lbs. (mini-goal) to 199.5 lbs. I plateaued at 199.5 lbs

for approx. one week. I added weights to my work-out (3 days per

week), for about a week, now my weight has gone to 202 lbs. I

stopped using the weights and have gone back to just cardio, but I

have been at 202 lbs. for about 1-1/2 weeks.

I avg. between 700-850 cals. per day and between 60-95 grams of

protein per day. I drink only Crystal Light or water and have

managed to do pretty good with Carbs.

I don't know what I am doing wrong, my weight loss has been so slow

and I have had about 4 plateaus already, now I have even gained.

I am 5'3 " and my goal is 130 lbs., I am coming up on the 3 month

mark and I have only lost 35 lbs. I know that I shouldn't compare

but this seems awfully slow for weight loss after gastric bypass.

If anyone has an answer, suggestion, encouragement (please no

criticism, I do enough of that myself). I'd appreciate any help!
