Guest guest
Dear (or anyone with insurance problems), I live in Maine but have BCBS of MA through my employer. My doctor submitted the pre-approval claim for upper and lower surgery. I don't know the technical names for the surgeries, but YES, my doctor is In-Network. What exactly are you having done that you have gotten pre-approved for? My ortho and OS wanted to get the surgery approved before I go ahead with braces. However, I have daily discomfort in my jaw muscles and my bite is horrible for eating and talking effectively, so I think that I may go ahead with the whole plan no matter what. Any feedback you can give me would be great. Thanks. -nate Dear Nate, I live in Boston. What are you having done, who is your surgeon, and in what hospital will you be? I also have BCBS of Mass and I have gotten pre-approval for my November surgery. The question is, what does pre approval mean? Is your surgeon in network? Guest guest
Nate, I am having upper and lower which are covered. I am also having a chin advancement, which is not covered. It was approved in network and out of network. I am going out of network, in fact to the west coast. Your situation will be different, but coverage shouldn't be a problem. Are you having it done in Maine of Mass? If your doctor does a practice surgery on your models that part will not be covered. In Boston it runs about $750. Concerning BCBS of Mass insurance Dear (or anyone with insurance problems), I live in Maine but have BCBS of MA through my employer.
