Guest guest
(Relora, I assume?) Has helped me tremendously Thanks, , I have noted the threads on Relora and actually considered buying them, but then, that would mean that I would have to buy more of the 4Xperday7DayWeek pillboxes because I would have to have two for each week, since the six that I use now are jam full of pills, (my wife describes the daily intake as hundreds! Feels like it too! I have had an almost normal intake capacity, pouchwise. since month nine and this struggle is old hat to me. Seems like I never even got a kiss on the honeymoon, yanno? But somehow, I have managed to stay within a five lb range now for about 20 months or so. I am not zactly sure how that works. I have recently come to believe/know/feel strongly that the 100lbs I lost, I lost on an " Atkins at gunpoint " regimen. Seems to me that is what my surgery was in retrospect. I could not eat much, and no animal protein at all, so I had to do protein shakes to keep from losing muscle mass. When I think about it now, it is crazy and I felt crazy at the time cause the instructions from the nutritionist on the surgeon's staff had a whole book of " eat low fat for life " mantra and do the 80 tons of grain per day on the food pyramid. Get it? The mechanics were low/NO carb for awhile and the weight just whizzed off, diabetes went away, all my comorbids gone too! Being a good lad I tried to follow the program and ate the carbs,,,,,low and behold,,,,the appetite came back, the hunger came back and the weight loss not only stopped, I gained. There are other good reasons I gained for which I wholly accept responsibility as well. Point is, now I have arrived (at almost three years) at a point where I " know " I am going to get the last 30lbs off, I will never be MO again. Yep, doing Atkins because I wanna go home with the one that brung me here! The carbs were/are killing me. Some very important things were pointed out to me by some folks who had surgery after I did and are doing everything right. They were not encouraged to eat carbs and did not. They have lost all the weight and one has lost eight lbs in her 18th month. Labs are all great, no binging, no hunger pains. I have no hunger pains now that I am detoxed finally. The deal is that I have finally gotten it through my head that I am thirsty when I get the " let's go in the fridge and freeze your nose while you blank stare " impulse. It is the basics for me, protein first, (I do lots of shakes daily), water, and less than 30g of carb (none today) per day. I really do not want to do any because it kicks off such hungries,,,,,yanno? So,,,,Relora? If it works I will buy it,,,and more pill boxes. But I share the goal of trying to find a way for me, and this really feels very very right. I am learning at an advanced age to trust my instincts now! Things that have a pulse and white flour, refined carbs are all safe around me now, I am not alligator chomping everything in sight!
