I didn't consider their attitude negative, for them it was realistic. By the way, they have since encouraged others to pursue insurance coverage (Insurance did not cover my breast lift). My WLSurgeon refers to it as plastic surgery, and I always correct him and say reconstructive. When I got the letter of medical necessity the GP used the term " plastic " and I told him please use reconstructive and to word it as reconstructive. Even when I went to the plastics consult I told the surgeons reconstructive every time he said plastic or Tummy Tuck. I guess we have educate them.
