Guest guest
Luna, It was my ortho that gave me the pain meds so do call her/him and ask for a perscription. After having my first adjustment I learned to take Ibuprofen before I went for the appointment and that helps. Since having surgery I take 3 IBPs at a time but when that wasn't dulling the ache I asked my ortho for something stronger. I don't like pain...I'm a wimp. Let me know if you have success. Guest guest
Just goes to show everybody's different. My surgeon gave me pain meds, for immediately post op. My ortho doesn't generally give them (not that I needed them for what he did) but says if you are hurting that much, he needs to see you and see what's wrong. And that what he's doing shouldn't be that painful. And it wasn't. Obnoxious, yes. uncomfortable, yes. Occasionally somewhat painful, but nothing that I and a bottle of Alleve couldn't make it through. cammie > > > > > > > > > > I'm on Day 7 of braces and I'm feeling overwhelmed by pain > and > > > > > discomfort.
