Guest guest
Hey, thanks to everyone for the reassurance. I guess I do feel kinda silly complaining about it at this stage Anyway, as for the recovery, I still feel lightheaded a lot of the time, but the doctor said that's most likely due to the amount of blood I lost during surgery. Apparently, average is something like 400mL, but I lost 1200mL and had to get both units of blood transfused back to me. I'm allowed to " eat " anything that fits in my mouth, as long as I don't swallow. My jaw opening is something like 8mm, which means I can drink soups with small chunks in it, so not everything has to be blenderized (thank goodness). The left side of my chin is still numb, but that's to be expected. Most of the congestion I had post-surgery is gone now, although I still sometimes feel the need to " pop my ears " , which is not quite possible yet. > Hey -- > I also had upper/lower/genio on October 5. My chin is still all swollen and puffy too!! So far, my chin and upper lip have been the slowest to go down. I would try not to worry about it...at least not yet : ) > > How has your recovery been otherwise? > > --
