Guest guest
It really depends on if you are having both surgies or just one if you will be banded the whole time. Everyone's situation is different. I was lucky and only lost 5LBs. I only had upper surgery though and was lightly runnerbanded. I was given the go ahead to eat soft foods after the first week. Thats when my weight stablized being able to eat real food. Just try to eat often and lots of high calorie foods in the blender and you should do fine. > > I'm 15 and about 5'7 " , 120lbs. Guest guest
gaining an inordinate amount of weight may put additional stress on your body...it's best to stay as HEALTHY as possible: get lots of sleep, avoid stress, eat balanced meals, take vitamin supplements, and maintain a positive outlook on your surgery... i would recommend that you start getting accustomed to eating a soft food diet before the surgery... by the way, i lost 10lbs within 5 days of my surgery because i was simply not used to eating soft food.... > > I'm 15 and about 5'7 " , 120lbs. Guest guest
My oral surgeon said that after my surgery it will be awhile before I will be able to eat tough foods, such as different types of meat. I'm a vegetarian though, so I really don't eat anything that is tough or hard (aside from when I eat fruit or vegetables raw). I've already stopped eating alot of raw things since I got my braces on, because it hurts sometimes and is hard to clean out of the braces.
