Yes, , you need to grind it up. Or do as I do (also the laziest of the

lazy) and buy it already ground. It's only a bit more expensive than the

seeds. We cannot handle the seeds as is. I don't think we'd absorb as much

benefit from the oil, as we malabsorb fats. There are some who would

disagree. Only way to tell I guess is do one for 6 mos, get tested for EFA's,

then do the other for 6 mos, get tested again and see if there's any

significant difference.................a lot of rigmarole, IMO, plus, I have

NO idea how the oil would taste. I do like the flavor of the ground seeds,

and the " heft " they add to my protein shakes. So much more satisfying and for

a longer time too.

Hi .........I am NOT by an stretch of the imagination an expert :) but

I am pretty sure that we need to grind it. I got mine wicked cheap at

GNC...I think it was 1.19 a pound!! But I'm lucky....I got four little kids

who are going to fight over who gets to do the grinding for me. I do also

know that it needs to be kept in the fridge and you shouldn't grind more

than a weeks worth at a time (just got that from an article that I think it

was Carol, was nice enough to post for me.) I have been adding mine to my

morning coffee, green tea and shakes.........it also keeps things going if

you know what I mean :) P.

Flax Seed?
