Guest guest
, it depends on what just a little is. It also depends on what you are using as a reference point. If your reference is the middle of your upper lip then swelling may make it seem off. With me at about day 4 when the lip swelling went down enough I took a piece of dental floss and ran it from the middle of my eyes to the middle of my chin. I noticed that everything lined up except for my upper jaw. Mine was off by about 3mm and since the bottom was fine it gave me a cross bite that I will need fixed. If your bite is fine and it's only off by a little bit your OS may just adjust your banding to try and bring it in line or your ortho may be able to correct it. I would definately mention it to him at the next visit. good luck/eric > > Hi everyone, i just had upper jaw surgery and had a question. Guest guest
Hey , thanks for the quick reply......i might be misunderstanding the midline term because my bite it exactly on except for my teeth positioning. My top row of teeth and the line between the two front teeth doesnt match right up with the lower set up teeth. the lower middleline between the two front bottom teeth is off center from the top row by not even a tooth. if i would run a string from between my eyes down my nose, and to my chin, the line from the top and bottom is off by a hair. like i said not even close to being much of anything. if anything those teeth will be adjusted with the braces after to even that line. the doc told me to bite this morning and he said that it turned out just right....so i think im in the clear let me know what you think. thanks and look to hear from ya.... brian -- In orthognathicsurgerysupport , " cpapsuks1 " <samueer@y...> wrote: > > , it depends on what just a little is. Guest guest
I had upper, lower, and a genioplasty. The surgeon had to cut the band that goes across my braces on my upper teeth. So, my front teeth are all crooked again. He said that one of my front teeth will be in front one day and the other one will be in front the next day. He said not to worry though. That my midline will be fine once I go back to the ortho. You may want to ask your surgeon. Hope this helps. Take care. -- In orthognathicsurgerysupport , sass15666 <no_reply@y...> wrote: > > Hi everyone, i just had upper jaw surgery and had a question. Guest guest
, it sounds cosmetic and not much to worry about especially if you've got braces on that can correct it and your bite is ok. eric > > > > > > Hi everyone, i just had upper jaw surgery and had a question. > Aside > > > from the immense amount of swelling everything seemed to haved > > > turned out alright according to the doc.
