Guest guest
Hi All, I am going on 4 months post op and I received a call last night from my father in law. He was calling to tell me that his neice, who had the surgery over 2 years ago, is in the hospital and they are only giving her a 10% chance to survive. He did not know all the details but said that her intestines are twisted and that she has bile throughout her body. And also that she has alot of infection and her stomache is decaying. I have never heard of this complication. I was wondering if anyone else has and if there is something we can do to avoid this happening? I do not want to scare anyone...just want to find out information to help ease my mind. Thanks Shelley

Guest guest
I don't know if she had any pain and ignored it. My father n law did not have all the details. I was asking him things like...did she do what the surgeon told her, was she eating what she was suppose to?, etc. He really did not know a whole lot. I did ask him to try to find out more cause I would like to know. I would think that with a major infection she would know...fever and possible pain. With the twisted intestines...I would think that this would cause alot of pain. I will let you all know if I find out anything else. I am trying not to worry too much or to start thinking that things are wrong with me. Gotta put my trust in the Lord! Take care, Shelley
