Hey guys,

Two weeks post-op this tuesday. I've really had an easy ride

compared to everyone except that I got a bit of the bad side effects

from the Antibiotics. Anyway, I am currently banded and my surgeon

said I can take them off on Wednesday permanently and that I could

also lift light weights!!! Now he is on vacation and I realized I

forgot to ask if I could attempt soft chewing or not. REading all

the posts, I realize that 2 weeks is an extremely short time to

start trying to chew again, but I am young (19) and in shape - not

that it will speed up the jaw healing. What do you guys think?

Should I attempt soft chewing or wait till my next ortho appointment

(The following tuesday). I go to college that day far far away, so I

wanna get a head start if I can. Am I rushing it? Thanks!
