Hi Aimee,

I would get jabbing pains in my chin, and shortly after, I would get

more feeling back. I guess if the pain does not go away or gets

worse, you should check with your surgeon, in case it might be

infection.

Did your twin have any jaw issues?

I'm 30 and had two surgeries: upper/lower/genio on Oct. 5 and

upper/lower to correct my midline on Nov. 9. My chin started to

tingle about a week after surgery, and it would feel so active, that I

couldn't get to sleep at night. Now I get what my ortho calls

zingers, which is just a jolt of electricity once in a while in my chin.

Even now, my chin itches, and when I touch it, it kind of hurts, but

it's not really pain. It's difficult to describe. The skin on my

chin peels quite a bit, too.

Best of luck to you and happy healing!

hey Aimee!

I am having the tingles in my tongue too. But I'm glad, because for

the first 10 days I haven't felt anything. I also have a slight

pain under my chin that comes and goes. I had upper, lower and

genio on the 8th. My OS says my slight pains and numbness are all

normal at this stage.

Hope that helps!
