Guest guest
Hi Vicki. I'm having the same problem with going to the gym. I haven't been for almost a month. What I USED to do when I didn't feel like going was to say to myself, " You don't have to go to the gym. Just put your work-out clothes in your gym bag and put it in the car, just in case you decide you want to go later. Well, since I'm out here standing by the trunk anyway, there must be some errands or something I can do, so I think I'll get in the car and see where it takes me. I could use a cup of coffee from Starbucks. Okay, I might as well go sit in the parking lot at the gym, since it's on the way back from Starbucks. I don't have to go in. Well, since I'm here, I might as well go in and see who's there. I guess I'll take my gym bag with me in case I decide to work out. Think I'll go to the locker room and see if anyone is there I know. Maybe Sherry's there. I wonder how her husband's surgery went? Here I am in the locker room. I might as well get changed just in case. Besides, I look stupid just standing around in here. Well okay, fine, now that I'm here and dressed, I might as well go ahead and work out. Kind of sounds like fun! " This may sound pretty bizarre, but it has worked for me in the past. The great thing about this group, is that when I share my ideas with someone else, I have to listen too. I think maybe I'll go see if my workout clothes are clean, just in case maybe I decide to go sit in the parking lot at the gym. BarbaraJean distal RNY Ceep fan club My crown's a little crooked this morning. I have to go to the gym and work out and I JUST DO NOT FEEL LIKE IT. In fact, it is hard to imagine getting my body moving to the point of a sweat as I sit here. But I know my body is on the brink of finally dropping some weight, so I have to go and force myself. I'll be OK once I get started. (how many times have I been just about to drop, only to eat junk or get lazy and then not drop at all, only to say in defeat the next day " if only I hadn't eaten that ____! " Don't quit five minutes before the miracle, as my friend tells me) Somebody please reach through the computer and drag me to the gym!!!!! Vicki A.
