Guest guest
I made a drop-in visit to my dentist two weeks post op to say hello to him and to let him take a quick look. I told him that my ortho advised me to stop the Peridex because he was afraid that it was starting to burn my gums. My dentist told me to make a solution of 1/2 hydrogen peroxide and 1/2 Listerine and to gargle with it morning and night. He said that with a lot of sugar in the diet, it makes it so much easier for decay to form. I do believe it's possible to prevent cavities after surgery, it just requires being proactive and staying on top of asking your OS and orthodontist what you can add to your dental hygeine routine. I'm 3.5 weeks post-op, and I just got the okay yesterday to start brushing with toothpaste as all of my sutures have healed, and there are no open wounds. All the best, > > Hello, > > I'm now unwired and pot ope 8 days. I've been having hard time > to " brush my teeth " .
