Guest guest
For those of you who know I have horses…I have been on foal watch for 3 weeks (thank God I only bred one mare last year!) She was 17 days overdue when I went to bed last night. She is famous for dropping her babies in the mud. Last night, it rained, hard, complete with tornados in the area, and golf ball size hail. The moon was nearly full. That’s all she was waiting for! When I checked her at 3 am, I had a nice palomino overo colt. Right now, it’s hard to see what kind of spots he has, but I’ve found at least 3 under the mud. I’ll have to wash him off some later this morning (nice warm sponge bath) when it warms up, and there’s LIGHT to see him better. Anyone who wants pictures, let me know, and I’ll email privately. To make this WLS related… the reason I am ABLE to raise horses is because I had WLS. Otherwise, my health would not allow me to do all that I do with them, or enjoy them the way I want to…and birthin’ babies is part of what I love to do.
