Guest guest
Hi , I think you will discover that there are many of us 40's and older getting ready for braces and surgery. I have not encountered any negative feedback having braces, and I am amazed at the positive feedback I receive from young people who themselves are in or have been in braces. I have learned that my ortho has many more senior patients, people who wish to improve their smile, and some like myself preparing for surgery. I too was concerned about my age, but was assured good health is all that matters. Good luck, Cathy bracessuck <no_reply > wrote: Hi If you mean the " iatrogenic epidemic " then yeah, I'm familiar. I'd avoid places like that chat room and get some good medical professionals that you can trust and communicate with. Remember, no question is too stupid to ask your docs and if they ever give you the feeling you are asking stupid questions, leave and find someone else. You are the patient, you have the right to be informed. Many people of varying ages have had orthognathic work done, and I think 44 is young. Good luck with your visit! > Hello - I'm meeting with an oral surgeon today regarding jaw surgery > for my overbite.
