Guest guest
Honest, post-op is not the time to be trying to lose weight. A very VERY bad idea. Whatever you lose, you will gain back, as soon as you start eating in your previous patterns, and doing the same with exercise. If you want to change your lifestyles, more power to you! That's the way to get the long-term benefits, I believe. (You don't wanna know how I know all this, nor how I grew so " wise. " ) But while you're healing, you need excellent nutrition to get enough calories in there to do the job. You will probably have to struggle a bit to get enough going for you. This is important. Your jaws won't do right by you, unless you do right by them -- and the rest of your body -- by providing the fuel for healing. You can gain, lose, do whatever, later on. But this isn't a quick trip to a weight-loss success, honestly, and please don't try to turn it into one. You'll regret it, honestly.
