Guest guest
With , we didn't know that he had a yeast problem, but when we started the digestive enzymes we experienced a BIG die-off reaction. Sometimes you don't know until you start treatment. It's a tricky business... in NJ > > > > With all these yeast questions lately, I'm wondering " How is it > determined the child has a yeast problem? Guest guest
Stephanee, Do you know how far away from DMSA the probiotic or yeast killer (we are using Candex) needs to be? 1 hour, 2 hours? I am trying to do 2 hours but I am not sure what the right answer is to that..... Fortunately, we only had issues with yeast that one time over this weekend since I got right on top of it and really started 'fighting back'! But when it comes on..... he just can't handle it.... it is just a vigorous attack on his system. Fortunately he is very aware as to what it is and how to address it. He hates taking the yeast killers because then he knows that he must not eat for 2 hours...... the thought makes him hungry! Thanks for all of your help on this. I need this DMSA to do its job....... get the lead out..... Janice [sPAM][ ] Re:How long until see die off effects after first dose of nystatin? Janice - You have got to continue treating for yeast on the OFF days as well as on days. Once you get a yeast problem going, it is a battle to keep it in check. DMSA brings on the yeast and you will have to battle it the entire time you are chelating - on days and off. We did lots of garlic bread with fresh garlic - good yeast fighter (spaghetti night), low sugar and lots of water. We were also doing Nystatin and mega probiotics. - Jepson says probiotics have to be in the 'billions, at least 10- 20 billion' to do any good. We're not chelating right now, but it is a definite possibility in our near future depending upon what the challenges show in a few months. Maybe your environmental doc can suggest something topical for him to apply to his private area to get rid of the itching? Hange in there Mom! How long do I wait to give the yeast after giving the DMSA? > > Has anyone found a 'method' by which they handle this yeast that kicks up? What is the yeast secret? Mark is NOT a yeasty kid but this stuff just brings it right up and stirs the pot! (Kind of like me on anti-biotics...... yeast city!) I KNOW that I have to keep a good control over this. > > Any advice would be much appreciated. I can experiment but I would love the benefit of the experiences of those who have gone before..... ye wise ones! Other than the yeast, the round is going well and I know it is coming out of him...... Gotta love that DMSA urine! > > Janice
Guest guest
Janice - I don't remember how far apart the probiotics/DMSA should be given. I can't find my chelation info-it would be 2 yrs old at best. Whomever is overseeing your chelation protocol should be able to direct you. Sorry! The only thing I remember was that we definitely used anti-yeast supps on the OFF days so that we wouldn't get so out of control on the ON days. Culturell, Nystatin, Biocidin, Lauricidin, GSE to name a few. Good luck and if I come across any more info I'll post it for you. Guest guest
We actually ended up fairing okay. I gave him the `yeast killlers` in the middle of the night plus once during the day, well after the DMSA round and far away from any meals. Outside of that initial `surprise` pop up of the yeast-beast, we did fine and their were no more potential public moments of embarressement (very important to a 13 year old boy!) I will continue to work the yeast even now that we are off. Mark actually had an overgrowth of D-Lactate at one point so I don`t like to use too much of the stuff BUT better a D-lactate overgrowth than chronic yeast! (which is so completely uncomfortable). We are surviving! I hope to see the `results`of the round today or tomorrow. We are battling a snow storm here in Edmonton right now...... it is viciously cold and I just want us all to survive so though Mark would like to take the bus.... -31 celcius weather prohibits it. I don`t know what that would amount to in F.....probably -48 or something! It is bitterly cold here right now..... I miss Mexico!! Guest guest
We have textbook stuff here but can you expand on this: There are more subtle signs we can chat about some other time if anyone wants to hear.
