infected belly button

Hello People,

A few weeks ago attention was brought to my belly button because of an awful,

painful, disgusting, gross belly button in my tummy. Have any of you had

recurrent belly button infections? The doc isn't sure what it is ....

thought maybe a combination of yeast and bacterial, so I've been treating it

for 2 weeks with an antifungal cream and just finished up a week of

antiobiotics. It's still bleeding and constantly draining pus. Now he's

saying maybe he'll send me to a surgeon to look at it. DID YOU SEE WHAT I

SAID?! A SURGEON! Well then, is it now my turn to talk about removing my

belly button because it's medically necessary? You think there's a chance I

might even be able to talk someone into a tummy tuck here?

OK, so 2 answers I'm looking for (neither relating to mustard or mayo):

1) anyone else get what seems to be fat related infected belly buttons?

2) should I now pursue plastics?
