Guest guest
Dear all, I couldn't have gone through the surgery successfully without this support group. Thank You for sharing your indi experiences. I'm into Day 5 post-op, my surgery took longer than expected 9 hours and 1 hour in ICU. Had advanced upper, back lower and septoplasty. I think there was some complication but wasn't inform much. Everyone was exhuasted after the surgery and me waking with severe pain on my heels. Could be cause by lying too long on the operation table and lack of blood circulation. Lost quite a fair bit of bloods but overall I'm alright. I'm recupperating at home now and family has been really supportive. Sore throat gone, heels ache gone, but occasionally ear aching. Does anyone has it? My ears ache then it give you the splitting headaches. Also u get hungry easily hehe I am still puffy and swollen and don't look like 'ME' anymore. I could hardly recognise the stranger who stares back. Does anyone has the same feeling? Anyway, for those who will be doing the surgery soon, do have faith in your doctors and great nurses. Keep your spirit soring high and hope for speedy recovery. Wishing everyone who's recovering like myself to take it easy and hope for the best. BTW, could someone give me some hint = how to brush my teeth properly. I'm struggling with the brushing and couldnt get the stuffs out between splint and braces. Also OS think is not necessary to elastic my jaw together but I feel like when I am lying down, my jaw is opening except for the splint in between. Thanks to everyone support and good luck.
