Guest guest
Just a brief note to let everyone know that at noon on Tuesday, March 4 I will have surgery at Methodist Hospital in Houston to try and close this wound on my abdomen. After 4 months on the wound vac it still isn't closed and I have to get back to work so they are going to try a skin graft. I sure hope it works because if I spend any more down time I am going to have to file bankruptcy. Dr Marc Wiemer is doing the surgery. He performed my panniculectomy and that surgery went perfect, so I am very hopeful. Davenport

Guest guest
Best of luck on Tuesday, Jim. Thankfully, I never had that problem, but I [have] correspond[ed] with several people who have had wound-closing problems, and I know that it is no walk in the park! The vac is supposed to help. Also hyperbaric chambers with oxygen pumped in. --Steve At 11:57 AM -0600 3/2/03, Davenport wrote: >Just a brief note to let everyone know that at noon on Tuesday, March 4 I >will have surgery at Methodist Hospital in Houston to try and close this >wound on my abdomen. Guest guest
Prayers are never offensive and I very much appreciate yours and all my friends from the group. I should only be in the hospital for 7 days. I will be at Methodist Hospital in Houston. I go in tomorrow morning at 10:00 AM and the surgery is at noon. Guest guest
I tried the wound vac for four months. At the rate it was closing, it would take another year to close. I need to get on with life!
