rapid palette expansion surgery

hello

i need braces but the Ortho said i should see an OS. i have an

underbite and the braces alone will not do the job. So after 18

months or so after the braces are on, i will have corrective jaw

surgery. But first, my upper palette has become very narrow over the

years, so i will need a palette expander placed by the Ortho,along

with the braces, and then the OS will do a Rapid Palette Expansion

surgery. My OS says i will need 2 weeks off from work. Has anyone

gone thru this RPE surgery and can give me some feedback on it and

how it was, how it was post-op and recovery? Thanks.
