Guest guest
I wanted to share the message from my thought for the day (edited slightly so as not to offend anyone). " Hope Do not be discouraged. Too many times discouragement has been the bonus for unrealistic expectations, not to mention self-pity or fatigue from wanting to change the world by the weekend. Discouragement is a warning signal that I may have crossed the line. The secret of fulfilling my potential is acknowledging my limitations and believing that time is a gift, not a threat. Hope is the key that unlocks the door of discouagement. May I always remember that the power within me is far greater than any fear before me. May I always have patience, for I am on the right road. " Boy, that is just what I needed to hear! I am starting to get a tiny little buzz in my head which will threaten my patience and peace of mind if I don't recognize it and nip it in the bud. It comes from fear because I only have 40 pounds to lose before I can look into plastics, I am sitting on the pot and not losing weight, my husband's insurance is one of the few that will cover a pannelectomy, and people at his work are getting laid off left and right. Of course, the initial impulse is to go on a super diet and try to lose asap. But that's only old behavior rearing its ugly head. I know for a fact that throwing myself into an unrealistic food and exercise program will burn me out and not only cause me to fail, but probably even do damage on top of it. Thank goodness over the past 2 years I have learned some different behaviors. I'm very happy with my moderate pace right now. I feel stable and healthy. And HAPPY!! As far as the head noise, I just do things like acknowledge it on this board. Meanwhile, I think I'll start a little special savings account just for ps. If I don't have to use it after all, I can use it to buy some new clothes! Have a great day all! Vicki A.
